Baby is doing well. She seems very healthy too. I make sure she gets fed at least three times a day.
Early, early this morning (3am), Éowyn jumped out of her bucket. She woke me up by her thumping and running around my room. She even jumped up on my bed (which is just a mattress on the floor, since I don't have a frame yet)! I finally figured out that she was looking for her baby, so I got the baby and gave it to her. She nursed for a few minutes and licked her.
Éowyn is quite the character! She often grunts when you try to pick her up. She's friendly, yet she scratches and nips if you're in her way. She jumps up onto her favorite yellow chair in our living room. AND she jumps in and out of her bucket in my room. Such a sweet bunny!
I hope the baby is a girl. I plan on keeping her if she is. She'll be my new pedigreed doe for breeding next spring. If she's a girl, she'll eventually replace her mama (who is going to be 4 at the end of October).
