Last night my rabbitry was visited by a raccoon (so we think). Ronald was in a cage on the ground, which was secure but not secure enough for a predator. I found his cage flipped to the opposite side it was sitting and the wood all scratched up. Upon opening it, I found that Ronald was gone. Snatched away by that raccoon :/. Later today my brother saw that Éowyn had a toe that was injured and the bone was showing. Somehow that creature was able to grab her toe through the wire mesh of the cage and tear it last night. Thankfully everybody else was okay. I can't imagine how frightened they must have been.
Éowyn's foot has been wrapped up and hopefully it will heal. Right now she seems fine and is acting herself. She's just sore on her foot and it obviously hurts her.
I can now see the good in my latest litter being born and how God has blessed me with them. They will replace my sweet Ronald and possibly Éowyn (but hopefully not her).
