Annie's babies were born a day early on the 24th of May. I was not able to count them at first because they were so small. But a couple days ago my mom went out to check the babies and found that a couple of them had fallen down a crack in the floor to the cage below, so we decided to take Annie and her babies inside. We were able to count them then and we found 8 babies! There were two little ones (runts) that were much smaller then other six. The smallest one died yesterday :0(. The runt that is left was a little bigger than the one that died. So far it is still alive. We've had to hold Annie on her back and place the runt on her so that it can nurse, just incase it's not getting enough milk when Annie nurses the other babies. The whole litter and Annie are still inside. I'm not sure how long they will stay.
These babies are very interesting colors. As far as I can tell, one is all black. A couple have white coloring with brownish and black spots (they will probably look like their dad who is a Broken Mini Rex). There are a couple brown ones and the runt is black with darkish brown on its head. I like the color of Annie's litter a little better than Buttercup's (although Buttercup's babies are quite cute and playful right now).
On Saturday I took "Chihuahua Baby" into Menards with me. I carried her in a purse and nobody noticed that I had a baby bunny with me. She sat in the purse and popped her head out a few times. She was well behaved and I thought it was great time to tame her!
